Overview

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager Dispensers, you will act as the key focal point of contact for the development of dispenser tooling, manufacturing, and assembly. Tork is one of SCA’s billion Euro brands and dispensers are one of the key drivers for the business as well as the front facing end users. We roughly place 6 million dispensers every year and ensuring function, quality and appearance is key for the brand and to our business. You will be a part of the team that leads the dispenser work within Category Professional Hygiene. You will also coordinate efforts with Global Hygiene Supply, Sourcing and Logistics as well as have heavy contacts with suppliers and logistic centers. You will be engaged in development of new products as well as continuous improvement and fixing quality issues for existing products. Since dispenser tooling, manufacturing, and assembly is important to transfer a product design in development to final product, you will be a competence that people rely on and turn to for all changes or new investments. It will also be your responsibility to actively spread knowledge in the organization and act as an expert and advisor to projects and colleagues in Global Hygiene Category and Business Groups. You will ensure CapEx are on the right level and that there are no issues in supply chain due to badly maintained, constructed and/or procured dispenser tools.

Main Tasks

Provide engineering support for the innovation teams.
Provide knowledge in tool management to ensure optimal requirement on suppliers and better protecting CapEx.
Provide technical expertise during the development and ongoing production of dispensers.
Identify and propose product and process improvement areas.
Keep maintenance plans for all tools and manage maintenance programs globally.
Build and maintain a broad and deep competence and knowledge in relevant technical area(s) in terms of SCA and competitor products, patents, technologies and materials as well as industrial trends.
Actively provide the Arenas, innovation teams and other parts of the organization with knowledge and direction.

Key Competencies

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a plastic injection molding environment.
5-10 years’ experience with plastic injection mold tool making (design and fabrication).
2-3 years’ experience in Plastic Part Design and Processing Moulding knowledge.
General understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
In depth knowledge in the development, design review, production, installation, start-up, validation and maintenance processes for dispenser tooling, manufacturing, and assembly.
Some experience with metal fabrication tooling would be preferred.
Ability to be pro-active, communicate with high level of stakeholders, drive creation and implementation of plans.
Excellent understanding of open innovation work with many stakeholders.
Good project management skills are required.
Excellent written and verbal English.
Ability to travel.
