Manufacturing Engineers at the departments of production support within Low Volume Shop VOLVO AERO CORPORATION Job description: The Low Volume Shop has the objective to increase productivity in the high volume shops at Volvo Aero Corporation by reducing their distrubances. This means that we need to take care of repairs, low volume parts, the introduction of both new products and new manufacturing technologies. In order to strengthen our ability to do just that, we are now looking for manufacturing engineers. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be working with both the introduction of new, as well as sustaining present components within our production. The job is characterized by structured continuous teamwork in order to secure both the quality and output rates. Key areas of interest are cost reduction and process stability in order to strengthen the competitiveness and productivity. Since quality standards are high within aerospace, we are continuously striving to implement better processes for the manufacturing of components. The emphasis of the work is implementation, driven by cost awareness and robustness of the manufacturing methods. It is of great importance for you to learn about our operational systems and requirements regarding production and method development in order to be able to implement manufacturing methods. Qualifications: You have good understanding of production requirements. We think that you are outgoing and have a degree in manufacturing technology or experience from the area to the equal extent. Your ability to establish good relations in variuos environments is good. Furthermore you can easily communicate in both Swedish and English, written as well as verbal. You also posess a demonstrated ability to manage continuous improvements.
