SKF is now looking for a
Manufacturing IT/OT Engineer - Future Factory
to join our growing team.
You will be part of the Future Factory team tasked to transform and equip the SKF Group Manufacturing footprint with digital solutions, skills and knowledge to strengthen World Class Manufacturing for competitive advantage.
Your day-to-day work and responsibilities
• Work as a member of the Future Factory Digital Deployment team to deploy the IT/OT systems in the SKF digital platform (technologies and services such machine and network connectivity, sensors, PLCs, servers, databases, data collection, applications and systems, etc.) to SKF factories, globally
• Understand and develop the factories’ current and future IT/OT setup, based on their needs and the capabilities of the digital platform
• Support the factories with the creation of digitalization roadmaps and project portfolios
• Deploy the products and services of the digital platform, according to best practices, defined principles and agreed architecture
• Identify new opportunities and ideas, as well as continuously improve existing solutions, methodologies and ways of working
• Actively ensure continued learning to grow both technical and non-technical skillsets
• Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure awareness of possibilities and challenges with digitalization, and to ensure commitment and transparency
• Enhance network and data security in business and operations environments
• Support OT/IT team members (technicians, specialists, and analysts) in their roles providing them with coaching and training
• Support the factories (and clusters) with training, hyper care at go-lives etc.
• Identify and capture improvements and lessons to continuously improve ways of working
We expect you to have
• BA/BSc in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electronical, Production Engineering, or similar
• Proven experience in working various positions within OT or IT, preferably both
• Experience in global IT rollouts and deployment projects
• Experience in designing and developing IT/OT architecture, project roadmaps and workflows in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in working with application deployment, server management, server virtualization, database management, network segmentation, routing, and switching for IT/OT environments, firewalls
• Experience in supporting optimization of IT/OT devices, software, and network systems
• Experience in design and implementation of security and data governance systems, protecting both manufacturing and business environments
• Broad technical understanding & hands on implementation experience
• Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing
Advantageous if you have
• Experience of managing OT/IT transformation and deployment projects in the manufacturing domain
• Experience in business analysis and demand shaping
• Service design experience

Preferred location: Any major SKF manufacturing site in Americas or EMEA.
