Key performance areas The SMT Rotation Program is a one-year program that provides a good foundation of the Product Area's business operations.During the program you will develop your competence and gain valuable experience by working with demanding projects in different locations.Hands-on work, as well as networking within our global team is key elements of the program. The main purpose of the program is to develop future management talents for Sandvik and SMT as well as to offer an interesting and challenging position for graduates. The program starts at our world head quarters in Sandviken, Sweden with a 12 week period of general classroom training, where you will learn about SMT and our ways of working.You will also learn about material science, product knowledge, leadership and procurement.After the general training, you will participate in four 2-month long job rotations in different SMT locations globally.Each job rotation consists of both hands-on work, as well as projects.During these job rotations you will build relationships with key people within our organization.When you've completed the entire program, start a job in an area of manufacturing that you have learned about, depending on your skills and needs, and SMT's openings. You are expected to relocate to the Gävle/Sandviken/Hofors area.Your profile We are looking for candidates who have recently graduated from university or have a few years of working experience.You hold a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, automation or other related field.You are highly motivated, eager to learn and develop yourself and have leadership potential/interest. As a person, you are a good team leader/builder and adapt easily to new working environments.You have cultural awareness, are geographically flexible with self confidence and good at relationship building.You must have excellent communication skills and be a person who others listen to.Furthermore, you are accountable, determined and enjoy competition.You communicate very well in Swedish, both spoken and written.Fluency in English is highly preferred.Send your application not later than December 31, 2010.
