In this role you will act as a Business analyst within US and Canada market compliance process, belonging to Homologation Integration department at Volvo Cars.

What’s in it for you?

We manage all market compliance investigations and inquires related to fuel economy and emissions. Combining our markets investigations all over the word with the knowledge and work within R&D you will help us find the best possible and sustainable solutions to manage compliance for all Volvo vehicles. As a Market Compliance Manager, you start preparing the compliance process years ahead of production start. You work closely with your market representatives and the rest of Product Regulations and Compliance, and mostly within our R&D.
Your focus will be analyzing emission related components and calculations related to emissions of the vehicle, and market compliance investigations. 

What will you work with?

* You will be a part of a solid team with Market Compliance Managers that manage, control, and optimize the emission and fuel economy compliance for US and Canada. The team work closely with our compliance team located in South Carolina which enables occasional travels.
* Our responsibilities include early project phases, development of ageing methods, emission certification and fuel economy processes (including consumer information) to In-Use testing. 
* We are also involved in preparing, optimizing, and submitting compliance reports and managing the environmental debits and credits. It includes all Geely controlled products, currently Volvo, Polestar, and Lotus. The regulatory framework for US/Canada allows us as a team to develop our own optimized compliance plans and processes within the regulations.
* Our main collaboration partners within the company are among others Release Office, Regulatory Affairs, Emission laboratories, Product planning, After Sales, Service, Governmental Affairs, Finance, Legal, Warranty,ect. External stakeholders we collaborate with are Authorities EPA, CARB, NHTSA, EC, TC and states/provinces, External emission laboratories, Aurobay, Lotus, Polestar, Automotive Industry Groups, ect.


Who are you?


You should have a higher technical training or equivalent experience, however a Master’s in engineering is favourable. You should be a person that stand up for your deliveries and understands that quality often supersedes quantity. An advantage is if you have knowledge of R&D development process and previous experience from Industrial Launches. Knowledge from attribute work, authority negotiations, automotive regulations and certification testing is also favourable.

The work requires that you have social, diplomatic, and pedagogic skills. You should also have the ability to adopt to different situations in an effective way, turning negative to positive and not be afraid to question and think outside the box. Ability to independently drive changes and overcome obstacles and understand how details are connected to the big picture and you should be able to drive items from start to finish. You are a team player but also able to work independently, you have a high ability to work within a diverse environment. To suit us, you master English fluently (speech and writing) and have a driving licence.
