The role
As a Market Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving defined Market Development projects from analysis to implementation within VFS Region Europe North & Central and for leading the Business Office for the region.
Furthermore, you will be involved in supporting and participating in the overall development of the regional commercial management and as well in driving defined Joint Strategic Collaboration items with our Business Area partners in the Volvo Group.
The position is based in Göteborg, Sweden and reports to the VP Brand Relations, VTC & VCE.
Your focus will be…
Work in close co-operation with the commercial organization driving commercial strategies
Support and contribute to the development and execution of the regional commercial management
Build and maintain productive relationships with colleagues internally in VFS and across group brand commercial functions
Coordinate and prepare executive alignment presentations across the Volvo Brands
Lead market and business intelligence together with Marketing Business Development Responsible and look for constant governance improvement
Your responsibilities…
Drive defined Market Development projects from analysis to implementation
Drive defined Joint Strategic Collaboration items with our Business Area partners in the Volvo Group
Lead the Regional Business Office including Regional Management Team meetings – manage preparations of RMT meetings including agenda, preparing material and coordinating the actual meetings
Ad-hoc support for regional SVP
Prepare presentations and business reviews for VFS global EMT, BRM and other executive decision forums
Provide insight and analysis into existing and potential customers’ requirements and drive initiatives to meet them
Support Brand Relations and Market Development function with ad hoc project work across a broad range of commercial topics
Operational and tactical support towards the VP Brand Relations
We’re looking for the following education and experience…
University degree or equivalent is required
Minimum of 5 -7 years’ Financial Services related industry experience – preferably from Captive Finance
Preferable brand and project management experience
Good knowledge and experience in transportation and construction equipment industries is preferred

Proven ability to analyse processes, structures, markets and technical areas, to solve problems and to identify improvements and having the ability to synthesize findings
Exceptional presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills
Experience working globally in a multi-cultural environment
Excellent English and communication skills

Computer proficiency – PC hardware/software and all MS Office applications.
Good knowledge of financial services products and services
