WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for a Market Intelligence Specialist who is proactive, with a proven ability to deliver results in a self-driven working environment. You are used to work with large data sets and using data to drive commercial and actionable insights for the business. You are motivated by increasing customer value and by finding new ways through co-creation with colleagues and other IKEA units to drive new growth opportunities. As a person you have the ability to influence and build trustful relationships while being enthusiastic about learning from others. Through your understanding of customer needs, you are able to challenge common ways of working and have the ability to work and perform with flexibility and simplicity.
We believe that you have a minimum of 5 years of experience from working with strategic customer and consumer insights and proven advanced training in insights, analytics, business management or equivalent. You have experience of influencing stakeholders at all levels in an organization and strong analytical, qualitative and quantitative research skills, strong data visualization and presentation skills.
You have knowledge in:
• Customer behaviours that can help IKEA gain insights to increase geographical penetration
• How to model, analyse and report on all data, cross-channel and how to gain actionable insights for business purposes and decision making
• How to systematically create, capture, share, manage and utilize insights created elsewhere within IKEA
The IKEA Expansion Process and Market Penetration Plans
• The IKEA concept, brand objectives, values and vision
• How to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders in IKEA
• The IKEA omnichannel shopping experience
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As Market Intelligence Specialist you will:
• Support business leaders across IKEA to make decisions about strategic expansion based on solid knowledge, sound reasoning and information of our markets
• Actively support and empower markets with advice on how to maximise sales potential within a given territory
Contribute to accurate and up-to-date sales estimation models reflecting the ever-changing retail environment, consumer behaviour and Ingka Group priorities
• Be responsible for delivering sales estimations for all new physical Customer Meeting Points serving as base for all retail investment decisions
• Be responsible for geographical follow-up of CMPs incl. New Developments and Formats
• Take lead in detailed customer meeting point analysis
• Actively engage in cases for the discovery of insights that can generate business value
• Partner with other IKEA units to improve data as an asset of the business across functions
• Be responsible to set-up learning solutions and tools for our market organizations
• Work across functions within Ingka Group and collaborate with other IKEA units
