At Global Technical Support, you are part of a global team with the purpose to safeguard that our consumers continuously have the freedom to move, by providing preventative and precise support for our mobility solutions. Our mission is to provide customers with solutions for their problems by acting preventatively, at high speed with maximum precision.
What’s in it for you?
Is this a workweek you find exciting?
* Talking to colleagues at different workshops regarding how to fault trace a car with hybrid drivability symptoms
* You connect to a workshop to assist with software download
* Handle cases with different technical questions, important with correct, swift, and timely response as we help workshops to repair the cars for our customers
* You present a PowerPoint slide show at one of our Tips & Trix sessions with the global tech support community over Teams, about a wire to a solve a stuck solenoid on a transmission and about a workaround for a newly identified symptom for the connectivity in the car
* Plane tickets are booked and next week you go to our Technical Helpdesk Colleagues in Brussels, bringing your normal work with you but change office to exchange ideas “over the desk” and visit a car with a strange symptom in a local workshop
As a Support Engineer, you are the interface between markets, Current Model Quality, and other problem-solving functions within Volvo Cars. You will be a key in our continuous change in finding solutions to problems and get our products repaired and back in customer hands, and every workweek will be different.
You and your skills
You are a true team player who collaborates across teams, levels, and locations, as interacting is a part of every workday. We believe that you are curious, as well as good at networking and making contacts, which is necessary in this position to solve problems. You are a self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are also a person with high integrity that feel comfortable standing up for your findings in a way that creates trust.
We believe that you are a skilled workshop technician with documented work experience. As you will communicate with stakeholders globally, it is very important to have solid spoken and written English skills, as well as strong presentation skills. Most of all, we believe you are strongly passionate about the technical side of our cars, with the end-customer in focus and pushing our innovation forward.
After-market experience is a must, as well as experience from Electric Vehicle, Hybrid, Autonomous Drive & Connectivity technical experience.
