You will be part of ABB Robotics. We develop, manufacture and market robots with associated control systems, software, arc welding products, track motions and motor packages. In Sweden, we are approximately 1200 employees who are mainly located in Västerås and Göteborg. More than 90 percent of our robots is exported, and all the major automotive manufacturers are among our customers.
Marketing Communication Manager for the Robotics division is responsible for, in close consultation with the Head of Communications and Head of Sales and Marketing, preparing, coordinating and prioritizing communication to support the profitable growth of the Robotics division in Sweden and is the link between the business and the Sweden communications team.
The role requires a deep understanding of industry needs and market trends. It also requires an understanding of trends in automation and technology and how these support the industry in the next step, in order to clearly communicate ABB Robotics role in an inspiring way for different target groups.
Close collaboration with Head of Communications, Head of Sales and Marketing and Press Manager is included. The role reports to Head of Communications. The role handles communication for Marketing & Sales Manager in digital channels.
Your responsibilities
Create positioning and communications content for products and solutions, develop communications calendar including events and shows, press releases, customer cases and speaking opportunities.
Create presentations and produce briefing material for spokespeople independently.
Develop content for social media communication.
Be responsible for absorbing news and content from the division, delivering it to the communications team, to publish externally.
Coordinate with global colleagues within the division what is to be taken out on the local market.
Have superior knowledge of the division and its products and solutions. Independently run projects, such as customer events.
Develop creative concepts together with the communications team and the division.
Fill the content calendar with content based on the communication strategy.
Your background
10 to 15 years of related experience, preferably a mix of Corporate/Agency experience within the technology industry and extensive MarCom experience.
Experience in Marketing Automation and Marketing Communication.
Strong analytical/writing skills, able to support on keynote presentations, executive talking points, media briefings, Q&A documents, etc.
Good at building relationships and creating commitment.
Understanding industry, technology development and communication.
Experience in a highly matrixed organization and in coordinating with and working across geographies.
Practice in building and collaborating with formal and informal networks at all levels of an organization.
Action-oriented, strong attention to detail, able to take ownership of large and complex projects and see them through to completion with a high standard of excellence.
