We’ve embarked on an exciting journey to transform our shopping centres into destinations always anchored by IKEA, and that go way beyond shopping, offering a carefully selected series of activities, events and initiatives tailored to the needs of the communities that surround them. That’s what we call “Meeting Places”.
We have big plans for the future that involve expanding to new locations around the world, opening smaller-scale concepts closer to the city centres, review our business model and launch new revenue streams, digitalisation, and most of all, living up to shared sustainability goals.
We are looking for you with a passion for leading creative marketing and increasing desire for brand in multiple channels. You like to find new ways to reach and interact with customers and partners. We believe you have extensive experience in global marketing/brand in an international business environment, preferably in customer-centric business and/ or retail, creating and implementing long-term strategic plans.
You know what it takes to create strong marketing that engage people, drive people to take action and keep the brand vital in daily changing environment. You know how to bring structure, tools and methodologies needed to deliver efficient marketing strategy and content. You have proven success in activating, retaining, and developing existing customers and maximize customer value and loyalty.
You are good at creating strong networks and collaborations across functions internally and externally, build trust amongst people and motivate them for new achievements. You’re keen to work in close partnership with colleagues from Communication, Concept and Digital. You like to experiment and pilot new out of the box solutions with a meaning.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will lead the global Marketing Sub-Domain, working with deepening relationships with visitors and partners, using our voice and our values to drive visitation and loyalty and amplifying experiences and offers to engage the many people.
You will be part of Commercial & Digital Domain leadership team and through your assignment contribute to driving growth and brand positioning of our Meeting Places.
In your role you will work together with a team of brand strategy, insights, social media marketing and loyalty specialists and leaders to develop our marketing strategy, brand and positioning, create loyal meaningful relationships with customers, partners and local communities and support business transformation and growth. You will lead and deliver a holistic marketing strategy for growth and brand positioning, increasing the visitation of our Meeting Places and IKEA, accelerating their efforts to provide the best marketing content in multiple channels.
You will lead, coach, and develop a high performing in-house and external partner-based Marketing team that will strongly contribute to reach desired growth, profitability, brand positioning and customer experience.
You will work in close partnership with the Communication domain and together with the Communication Manager you will find ways for Marketing and Communication to work in close collaboration.
You will be working closely with the Communication domain and stakeholders across Commercial and Digital domain to develop new concepts and business and communication at the same time, building story and reach over time.
