To succeed in the role of Marketing Manager you need:
• 10-15 years of international strategic marketing experience, preferably in multiple markets and global brands within marketing, external communications, digital, or equivalent fields
• Advanced education in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, or a related discipline
• Senior-level experience with digital marketing in an omnichannel reality
• Experience driving business and people transformation in a holistic omnichannel environment
• Leadership experience in managing large, multi-functional, international teams
Your responsibilities
The purpose of the Marketing Manager role at IKEA is to reach more of the many people and re-establish a brand that is trusted, loved, and engaging. You would play a crucial role in gaining operational and societal trust for IKEA. By driving growth through attracting and activating customers and consumers, we hope you will build long-term relationships and create lifetime value.
You will be responsible for leading global hubs such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Performance Marketing. These hubs play a vital role in implementing effective marketing strategies and ensuring continuous development of the new IKEA Marketing Model across clusters and retail countries.
Additionally, you will be responsible for:
• Design, build, and optimize global marketing efforts to drive the growth of IKEA globally.
• Translate the global strategic marketing and consumer-centric vision and goals into local implementation.
• Drive growth through customer retention, lifetime value, and acquisition using performance marketing and data science.
• Provide expertise and input to the operating model, range development, and supply chain optimization to achieve market share growth.
• Lead and develop performance marketing as a growth driver across 30+ IKEA markets, focusing on increased ROI (Return on investment) and effectiveness measurement.
• Develop world-class activation concepts, customer-centric membership benefits, rewards, and engagement activities across all brand interactions.
• Identify and resolve frictions in the selling and customer experience areas, and explore new revenue opportunities through collaboration with sales, digital, and supply partners.
• Increase market share by initiating and contributing to developments in marketing automation and utilizing innovative, data-driven digital marketing tools.
• Deliver hyper-relevant personalization throughout the customer lifecycle to increase brand awareness, market share, and customer loyalty.
• Establish CRM as a significant growth contributor for INGKA and ensure its effective implementation.
• Develop new product marketing capabilities, including services and home deliveries, to enhance customer options and added value.
• Build best-in-class (digital) marketing in-house capabilities across all Ingka Markets, championing new methods, systems, and processes.
• Manage global media sourcing and the Performance Marketing Hub for maximum reach and performance.
• Develop a high-performing and learning marketing organization that contributes to extraordinary growth objectives.
This position is based in Malmö, Sweden and reports to the Growth & Marketing Manager.
