The roleThe EMEA Marketing Manager will work directly in a small team with responsibility for all aspects of the marketing mix, including: creation and implementation of marketing strategy, tactics, budgeting, monitoring of return on marketing investment, developing the social media strategy for the region.This function supports and drives growth in market share, market awareness, revenue growth and improvement in product mix supporting contribution goals. The successful applicant will report to the head of marketing for the EMEA region. Key Accountabilities Manage and implement specific cross-border projects and act as regional lead on various marketing issues. Plan and execute overall marketing strategies in line with overall long and short term EMEA objectives and competitive strategy. Interact with Country Marketing Managers to ensure that all projects are running successfully Maintain budgetary control to support marketing initiatives. Deal directly with strategic suppliers to meet regions needs, and provide frequent feedback on strategic supplier performance to improve supplier selection processes and return on investment. Develop and implement processes to closely monitor return on marketing investment of all campaigns. Act as a member of the regional marketing team and ensure cross-fertilization between countries.From an operational standpoint, the accomplishment of these responsibilities will frequently include elements of new product development, public relations, database and direct marketing, leads generation activities, social media marketing, online partnerships, search engine marketing, website content management, online publishing and newsletter content development, market research, competitor research, etc. The ideal candidate Education: B.A or BS or equivalent in business required; MBA or equivalent preferred.Experience: 4 to 7 years marketing experience within the business to business sector with exposure to multiple aspects of marketing processes and activities.A further experience in people management, social media and /or sales may contribute to better qualify successful candidates. Language: German or French and English language fluency (oral and written).Skills and behaviours: the perfect candidate will demonstrate experience of working cross functionally & cross culturally, ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks concurrently and ability to deliver on commitments made.The role involves also cross-cultural awareness, diplomacy and ability to work as a team player, strategic thinking, budget awareness and attention to detail.The selection process Candidates whose applications are pre-selected will be invited to a telephone interview.A further step in the selection process will be a competency-based interview with our EMEA Marketing leader.
