Your role
As a Marketing Manager, you will be working with marketing Gripen on the global market. In your role, you contribute with an outside in view on the product (i.e. potential customer's eye) and thus, creating and delivering value to the sales of Gripen to new customers. Together with your colleagues in the Marketing department, you take an active part in providing input to current and future needed marketing efforts. In short term support the current sales efforts and in long-term support raising the awareness and perception of Gripen.
As Marketing Manager, your assignments are primarily reported to the Marketing and Sales management.
Main assignment is to contribute to establishing and driving the marketing strategy and plan for Gripen activities globally, i.e.:
* Support Gripen campaign teams with marketing competence and strategic guidance
* Understanding marketing needs and pro-actively create initiatives supporting Gripen prospects
* Provide knowledge and implement how we market the product on a global level
* Lead and participate in projects to produce new marketing tools & material - often several in parallel
* Lead and participate in marketing activities and projects such as air shows, seminars and customer events
* Provide input for decision on what marketing activities needs to be performed
* As project manager, drive and execute marketing activities and projects
* Represent the department and spread market information internally and externally and act as an information channel for Marketing
The assignment could also include work related to:
* Maintaining the market plan and developing market strategies
* Updating of sales outlook and long term planning for Gripen
* Performance/analyses of market studies
* Provide Marketing briefings internally and externally and act as host for VIP visits related to interest in Gripen
* Coordination initiatives, such as e.g. lead sales seminars, user seminars etc.
Some travelling is to be expected, but the majority of the work is in Linköping.
Your profile
You have a university degree in Marketing, or similar, including minimum 3-5 years' experience, or an experienced genuine marketing background.
You are creative, energetic, flexible and highly structured.
You like taking responsibility, have an open personality and a positive approach.
You enjoy working independently as well as working closely with people in different teams.
You have very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both written and spoken language and very good knowledge in MS Office, particularly in PowerPoint.
Knowledge in InDesign is a merit.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
What you will be a part of
Aeronautics, a Business Area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide.
You will belong to the Marketing department, which is organised within Marketing and Sales. Marketing and Sales is tasked to market and sell the Gripen fighter aircraft system on the international arena and is responsible for providing the entire Business Area with Marketing resources and expertise.
We are working in Linköping, in the hub for global marketing and sales of Gripen. We are a dedicated and goal-oriented team, that believe in communication and empowerment. To have good coverage on the world market, we work in close cooperation with our international offices. Our department, Marketing and Sales, focuses on selling Gripen to new customers while also strengthening the Gripen brand. You will be a part of our Marketing team, which supports the department with marketing and intelligence expertise, sales outlook, market strategies, coordination of global initiatives and management of marketing projects. A Marketing Manager represents the department in Gripen marketing matters in several different contexts.
