Indirect Purchasing are responsible for all purchases of Volvo Car Group which is not part of the car, such as IT, logistics, machinery and services. This position is located at the Indirect Purchasing - Marketing & Advertising team who provides specific marketing competence to purchasing at Volvo Car Group. The team consist of five buyers, each responsible for different areas. Our role is mainly to serve the different stakeholders, the Central Marketing Department and the national sales companies, within Volvo Car Group with different sourcing activities, supplier- market- and spend analysis, contract management as well as governance towards our current and potential suppliers.

The Marketing Purchaser secures supply and delivers cost efficiency and additional value in sourcing programs, by developing and executing Commodity Business Plans, and by having a clear view on business demands and supplier market.

Main responsibilities

* Drive a total cost approach by delivering cost savings, cash flow and added-value improvements
* Anchor and execute Commodity Business Plans, e.g. identifying and driving key programs to achieve cost saving targets and setting supplier base portfolio, based on market and business needs
* Lead commercial and contractual negotiation with suppliers within the Marketing area
* Together with Marketing Stakeholders prepare and effectuate RFI/RFQ within the Marketing area
* Performs risk management analysis, including financial risk analysis of suppliers
* Manages and leads the supply base towards an optimal total cost approach & overall efficiency in delivering long term sustainable profitable growth
* Expertise knowledge about global/regional supplier market
* Market-, supplier- and spend analysis to be on top of the Marketing area and be able to perform strategic sourcing initiatives
* The primary responsibilities will be print, translation and aftermarket services

Required qualifications

* University degree or equivalent professional experience within purchasing
* Solid negotiation, commercial and contractual track record
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Professional experience in multi sourcing area
* Experience of purchasing of Marketing or Advertising services, and experience from an international environment is highly meritorious
