The Group Indirect Purchasing - Marketing & Advertising provides specific Marketing competence to Purchasing at Volvo Car Group. The group consists of six team members. Our role is to mainly serve the Stakeholder, Central Marketing department and the National Sales Companies, within Volvo Car Group. We serve them with different sourcing activities, supplier- market- and spend analysis, contract management as well as governance towards our current and potential suppliers.

The Marketing Purchaser secures supply and delivers cost efficiency and additional value in sourcing programs, by developing and executing Commodity Business Plans, and by having a clear view on business demands and supplier market.

Main responsibilities

* Have a total cost approach by delivering cost savings, cash flow and added-value improvements
* Anchors and execute Commodity Business Plans, e.g. identifying and leading key programs to achieve cost saving targets and setting supplier base portfolio, based on market and business needs
* Lead commercial and contractual negotiation with suppliers within the Marketing area
* Together with Stakeholders prepare and effectuate RFI/RFQ within the Marketing area
* Perform risk management analysis, including financial risk analysis of suppliers
* Manage and lead the supply base towards an optimal total cost approach and overall efficiency in delivering long term sustainable profitable growth
* Conduct market-, supplier- and spend analysis to be on top of the Marketing area and be able to perform strategic sourcing initiatives.
* Example of categories/commodities: Events & Exhibitions, Creative Services, Media, etc.

Required qualifications

* University degree or equivalent professional experience in relevant area
* A minimum of 3-5 years relevant working experience
* Solid negotiation, commercial and contractual track record
* Professional experience in multi sourcing
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken
