Scania’s Communications Department operates globally both with the continuous conduct of marketing and communication operations towards several key stakeholders, and with the development of marketing and communication capabilities, that include work processes, enabling technologies, roles and competencies. We are now recruiting new talented and passionate colleagues who can contribute and lead the advancement of marketing and communication capabilities, with the focus on digital technology development.

The role

With focus on digital customer experience we seek a Marketing Technology & Strategy Manager who will be responsible for setting the strategy and support management and development of marketing and communication technologies and associated capabilities. Core responsibilities include:


• partaking in the annual business marketing and communication strategy updates
• manage a successful realization of strategic and tactical needs – in full alignment with Scanias digital transformation initiatives
• define and drive the short-term/long-term vision, strategy and roadmap for Scanias marketing technology ecosystem
• lead the formulation and updates of a strategic plan for digital technology development, implementation and governance
• keep stakeholders updated on project plans and timelines as well as the value unlocked through marketing technology
• proactively identify, surface and resolve emerging interests between different central and local functions
• together with internal stakeholders lead the establishment, governance and evaluation of strategic technology vendors

You are to be regarded as our trusted expert in digital customer experience including marketing and communication technologies, who strongly contributes to a further development and showcase of real value generation. To that end, you are to form strong relationships and collaborate closely with the core team within the communications department as well as partners across the organization, such as various business units globally, central teams including marketing, sales, digital officer network and Scania IT.

Success in this role requires a broad understanding of all aspects of digital customer journeys including technologies that run our digital marketing initiatives - content management systems, digital analytics, lead generation through marketing and sales automation and digital assets management.

Your profile

You have extensive work experience from:


• formulation of strategic plans for the acquisition and governance of digital technology, including gap analysis, business cases, roadmaps, priorities of existing and future solutions, planning and execution
• acquisition and governance of strategic technology vendor relationships
• experience in interpreting business requirements from internal stakeholders to prioritize project requests and identify technologies that meet the business needs
• communications and negotiations to showcase the value of new ways of working and technology usage
• govern the performance of the various platforms including their regular evaluations and assessments to secure a sustainable digital transformation
• management of multiple interdependent projects
• work in complex, international and inter-cultural contexts that require highly developed social, negotiation and communication skills in spoken and written English / Swedish;
• data-driven organisations
• Strong cross functional leadership and influencing skills

Education


• You have a Bachelor’ or Master’s degree from a recognized academic institution, in Business Informatics, Information Systems, Marketing Operations and Technology Management, Industrial Management or similar
• 7+ years of experience working with marketing technology across marketing, sales and IT
