Born in 2014 by Creative Director, Max Svärdh and CEO, Albin Johansson, Axel Arigato is a Sweden based contemporary brand that started from an Instagram page and an idea to break into the footwear market.
With deep roots in music, art, architecture and what is contemporary, Axel Arigato has defined itself by offering more than a product. It has been created to leave an experience at the front of mind, whether it’s via stores, online or through events.
Axel Arigato currently has 8 stores, including London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Munich & Paris with more pending. Expanding from 2 people to now hiring over 100 members of staff in 7 years, Axel Arigato also operates a subsidiary office in London.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE
As Marketplace Manager, you will ensure that we understand the consumer needs across markets and that we fulfill them in the right order. Understanding local requirements on freight, payment, return and customs solutions will be key, but also to understand local assortment and marketing preferences
The Marketplace Manager will define the customer requirements that the company should answer up against per market and work together with internal and external stakeholders to implement solutions that enable Axel Arigato to fulfill these requirements. You will also maintain that we utilize the internal system landscape to drive localization but also that we use the right external localization partners when needed. Other areas that you will work in will be:
• Map and define customer requirement associated with the shopping experience per key geographical markets/regions in aspect such as e.g. freight, payments, returns, customs etc.
• Analyze and understand local customer preferences and how they can be met in the commercial strategy by e.g. web exposure, newsletter, paid marketing etc.
• Define framework to establish strategy and business case per market/region answering questions such as e.g. Keep as is? Localizing brand.com? Approach through marketplace?
• Marketplace strategy and performance
• Strengthen collaboration with current marketplaces (e.g. Farfetch and Miinto)
• Work closely together with other internal stakeholders to develop marketplace set-up
• Choose the right external partners, negotiate the commercial terms and manage the relationship
• Manage International growth team (currently 1)
ARE YOU THE ONE?
We seek someone with multiple years and preferably multiple company experience within markets and e-commerce. You should be able to initiate projects with clear goals but also manage them. In your previous roles, you have been part of and can describe the steps you took to grow the brand in different countries and with different approaches. A curious mindset with a healthy side of data driven would make you the one. Experience working with Miinto/Farfetch is a must.
