To be able to develop IKEA as an even more affordable, sustainable, and accessible home furnishing retailer in an omnichannel environment, we need to bring people, processes, data, and technology closer together.  

IKEA Information Management (IM) department has the assignment to create value and enable business movements by providing knowledge and support to gain maximum business value from information across the IKEA value chain.  

To establish and implement the framework, set the standard, methods, and policies for working with information by co-creating, together with our different businesses' clear governance, ways of working and methods for managing information. 

As Master Data Leader, you bring the awareness of Master data Management (MDM) to Core Business Range in collaboration with Master data leaders across our core businesses. Meanwhile, collaborate closely with the Information Management (IM) network as well as with stakeholders across Data & technology and Range operations. 

Your main assignment will be the food area that partly operates unique solutions with a big focus on reliable and compliant data across the value chain. 

In this role, you will 
Lead the development and roll-out of MDM practices across a complex organization, and contribute to the development of the evolution of Master Data from current to future state.   
Be a central point of contact and escalation within the IKEA MDM community  
In collaboration with subject matter experts and data stewards, defines and implement policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable. 
Drive continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing of methodologies, tools, and materials across the IKEA MDM community. 
Help in resolving data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and data stewards. 
Provide technical leadership for MDM specialists in the organization, fostering a culture of support and collaboration in the team and across the Information Management organization 
Ensure consistency by supporting the use of relevant development techniques, digital frameworks, and best practices. 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have 
Extensive leadership and business development experience in complex organizations. 
Expert knowledge and experience within the Master Data field, especially in driving and expanding the use of modern Master Data practices, strategies, and technical tools. 
Data modelling expertise and a good understanding of the underlying business processes and systems  
Good understanding of Information Governance and Data Quality methodologies (e.g. DAMA - Data Management Body of Knowledge), ability to assess how technology changes impact data 
Good communication, collaborating skills, networking skills, and building relationships across complex organizations.
