Digital Services & Solutions is a recently formed function within Volvo Buses with the global responsibility for digital services and solutions over the life cycle.


In close cooperation with our customers and stakeholders, Digital Services & Solutions are responsible for defining, developing, and delivering world class solutions that ultimately drives earnings and profitability for our customers and for Volvo Buses. On an overall level, we have the global responsibility in the following areas:
Enterprise Architecture & Data Security – ensuring a robust digital foundation
Business Development & Partnerships – driving business development and partnership set-ups
Connected Services – ensuring world class connected services for sustainable people transports
Digital Channels – the “digital home” for all connected services & solutions
Business Solutions – ensuring world class digital solutions to support operational efficiency

As Master Data Manager you love working with data challenges and you are a vital part in our mission that will revolutionize how we serve data to our customers, services, and solutions. You will drive the design of our master data foundation helping our organization to define our master data strategy, drive the realization of this very strategy and lead the analysis and conceptualization of how to migrate and consolidate a vast landscape of master data systems and platforms with the aim to make reliable data easily available.
You have a keen business understanding and collaborate easily with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into recommendations for appropriate MDM solutions, with specific emphasises on becoming truly data driven and significantly increase services sales.

This position requires that you proactively identify and address both opportunities and issues on our journey towards a truly data driven company. You can easily interact with a wide variety of stakeholders to gather information, facilitate consensus building, deliver business value, and convey technical information into business feasible language.
We also believe you have some of the following capabilities:
Solid experience in data and master data management, data quality and data modelling
Solid experience in designing and introducing master data solutions to a business organization
Know-how to translate business needs into requirements for data and data management
Ability to describe data flows and architecture at a high level (you don’t have to be an architect, but you can do high-level architectural descriptions)
Familiar with data analytics, designing and developing dashboards and reports
A great listener with ability to communicate with people of diverse disciplines and organizations
A great driver of culture change



The formal education requirement is a Master of Science or equivalent in business administration, and you are fluent in English.

The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Occasional travel is expected.
