Master Data Specialist | Inter IKEA Technology Services AB

Master Data Specialist | Inter IKEA Technology Services AB

Arbetsbeskrivning

At IKEA, we aim to make healthy and sustainable choices affordable and accessible for all. To make that happen, we need people with imagination. People who know that everyone has a right to feel at home. People who share our vision of a better everyday life. Together we’ll innovate the future of life at home through data, technology, retail and home furnishing know-how.

We have a brand new role, we are looking for an enthusiastic Master Data (MD) Specialist to work in our Shared Data & Technology business area in Malmo or Delft. In our newly formed team, you will focus on leading and providing the necessary strategic thought leadership in Master Data. This includes market analysis, technical assurance, ways of working and governance related to the development, evolution, and delivery of MD processes across Inter IKEA.

Inter IKEA Group brings together three core businesses: Franchise, Range, and Supply. Together we work constantly to improve the IKEA home furnishing offer and make it more accessible for the many people. Our aim is to provide our partners in the franchise system with the best conditions to implement and operate the IKEA Concept, and to create a strong foundation for future expansion and growth.

Together, we create a workplace where everyone feels free to be themselves – to experiment, try new ways, and dare to ask, “What if…?” We believe in everyday personal growth and offer the opportunity to develop your career globally. The world is changing, and the IKEA business is changing with it. For IKEA though, one thing will always remain the same ─ our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people.

About IKEA Information Management (IM)

IM has the assignment to create value and enable business movements by providing knowledge and support to gain maximum business value from information across the IKEA value chain. To establish and implement the framework for Digital Ethics. To set the standard, methods, and policies for working with information by co-creating, together with our different business' clear governance, ways of working and methods for managing information.

IM is a growing and new organisation with the ambition of securing quality, connected, available data to the IKEA value chain. We provide the needed competence and deliver the needed supporting tooling. We work daily with our business and product teams that deliver cutting edge, data driven solutions to the many IKEA co-workers.

Key responsibilities

As a Master Data Specialist, you will support the organisation in leveraging information and data. This you will do in many ways; by supporting business stakeholders in understanding the potential of modern harmonised Master Data Management (MDM) practices and standards, by supporting the build-up of structured and well working master data management for IKEA and connected domains, creating and disseminating best practices, frameworks and accelerators across the organisation.

You will collaborate closely with the Data & Analytics and Information Management teams as well as with other practitioners across the larger IKEA organisation. You take your colleagues by the hand, and you constructively guide and coach your co-workers in Master Data best practices and methodologies. You are regularly involved in activities and meetings with stakeholders to determine large and small opportunities where MDM could help the organisation to better reach its goals and work in a more efficient way.

Together we can realise the benefits that modern MDM can bring and you can be at that heart of that.

This role is full-time (40 hours per week) and based in Delft, Netherlands or Malmo Sweden.

Our approach is that we spend most of our time in the IKEA workplace and with the flexibility to work from home when relevant. At IKEA we believe that we’re better when we’re physically together for collaboration, dialogues, and conversations. We believe in the power of human interactions; the informal chats, the energy, belonging, and creativity generated by people being in the same place.

We want to understand the why! Please send your application with a CV and motivation letter in English and tell us why you would be a good fit. Applications without a motivation letter will not be taken into consideration.

The closing date to apply for this role is the 18th of October 22.

About IKEA

At IKEA, we do things a little different. We think, differently. Act, differently. And work differently as well. We like to break things. Like rules. And then make things. Like music-playing lamps. And beds disguised as sofas. Even plantballs that help us look after our planet. It’s all part of our vision - to create a better everyday life for the many. And it’s been keeping our co-workers going for over 75 years. By 2030, we hope to help millions more look forward to going home. Maybe you can help us.

Another thing fuelling our success is our values-based culture. While we are unique individuals with endless differences, something we share is our commitment to lead by example, work together, find better ways and to get things done. We believe in life-long learning, where we all play a part in helping each other (and our business) grow.
