For Seco Tools and our Operations Planning department, we’re now looking for one Master Scheduler to translate supply demands into granular-level plans and help us assure both capacity and availability. Seco Tools is a market-leading producer of comprehensive metal cutting solutions for milling, stationary tools, hole making and tooling systems. We develop and supply the technologies, processes and support that our customers depend on to maximize both productivity and profitability.
About the job
In this position, you develop supply plans for one or more of our production units, and based on requirements and demands for a set area of products, product lines, segments or production, you continuously work to improve these plans. In order to optimize our services, working capital and costs, you balance supply and demand and ensure that the needed products are produced at our production unit(s). You work in close contact with our supply network – such as inventory-, demand-, and production planning, new product development and warehousing – to ensure the right supply chain metrics and reliable plans. This close collaboration also gives you the tools you need to understand and discover potential issues, constraints or bottlenecks that may impact our supply efficiency.
Other parts of your job are to:
Monitor supply plans to identify changes and determine their effect on production schedules and inventory development
Improve and upgrade our planning processes, systems and reporting processes in order to ensure right products are produced and optimized way of working.
Adjust the accommodate short-term customer orders that differ from the agreed sales and operations planning (S&OP) and contribute to improvement projects
Collaborate closely with production units in order to support, drive improvement activities and make sure we are producing right products at right quantity
In the end, you create operationally and financially optimized supply plans - all based on customer requirements, inventory levels, material availability and available capacity.
The location for this position is preferably Fagersta, Sweden, although for the right candidate we might consider a flexible option within Sweden. Frequent visits to Fagersta is, however, a prerequisite.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a university degree within a relevant area, for example Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent knowledge gained from previous assignments. You have a few years’ experience from similar logistics or inventory planning roles – where you have learned the techniques and methodologies used in this line of work - and you’re a skilled Excel user (proficiency in Power BI is a merit). Skills in other systems and applications within the area is beneficial. Working in a global organization calls for fluency in English, while knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
