Background of thesis project
There are exciting times within the transport industry with new disruptive technologies evolving, changing the whole industry. Volvo Trucks has the ambition to be "The world's most desired truck brand with industry leading performance and the most successful customers". We are an engaged team with customer focus, high ambitions and positive spirit. We believe in collaborations with each other, our colleagues and stakeholders.


The aim of this Thesis work is to study and understand our current image ordering and coordinating process. From a business need to the final image, which will be used in Volvo Trucks communication. All images serve to either inspire or inform. Knowing which category an image falls into helps us to secure the quality assurance.​




Assignment and expected outcome​


The master thesis will be performed in close collaboration with Marketing and Product Management team as well as other stakeholders. The focus will be on studying and understanding how Volvo Trucks should work with continuously improving the internal workflow process in the CGI area.
We strive to be in the driver seat of this development, and this is where you come into the picture. We are looking for you who are eager to bring your knowledge from the academia and combine it with real business insight to support us in developing our current process.
With this in mind, we have identified the following area for your research during the assignment:
Mapping the current image ordering process and way of working.
Identify best practices how stakeholders can work smoothly together.
Explore the possibility of using our existing business platform “3D store” and it’s functionality.
Suggest how to secure the correct quality in the image development process.
Streamline the review process.
Recommend a working model to streamline and coordinate the CGI ordering flow.





Suitable background of students
This master thesis is directed to students with theoretical knowledge and interest in organizational and process development. You will possess good communications skills in English, shows a high level of initiative, is self-driven and has excellent analytical capabilities.
