Arbetsbeskrivning
Cochlear is a global company that develops and manufactures hearing implants. One division which is focused on bone conduction hearing implants is situated in Mölnlycke.
During development of bone conduction hearing implants, different designs needs to be evaluated and selected. Existing physical measurement models are available but there is a need to develop a simulation model of the human head to make predictions on hearing outcomes using CAE. MRI scanning of a person has already been made and remaining work will include segmenting of the images and later to validate that the response of the head is according to expectation.
Recommended qualifications:
-Interest in simulation or sound and vibration or medical device development.
-Master of Science studies in Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Bio medical. The student's qualifications can preferably be complementary to each other.
Preferable but not essential:
-Experience of simulation.
-Knowledge in FEM, structural dynamics and/or structural mechanics and/ or structural engineering.
-FEM methods of composite structures.
