Liko AB, a Baxter Company, is a world-leading company which, since the start in 1979, has specialized in developing solutions for simple and safe lifting and transferring of disabled persons. Our specialization and experience have given us a lead in knowledge, technique and methods, which we use every day to create the best solutions for the users of our products. Liko AB develops, manufactures, and markets patient lifts, slings and other accessories. In 2021 Liko AB was the winner of the Swedish Lean price.
Baxter's Products and therapies are found in almost every hospital worldwide, in clinics and in the home. For over 85 years, we have pioneered significant medical innovations that transform healthcare.
R&D Sustaining's responsibility is to develop and improve our current Liko product portfolio. This means leading various projects with the goals of increasing customer satisfaction, increasing product quality, optimizing product design, and strengthening the competitiveness of our products. The engineers at R&D are a team of experts and support the production, quality department and other functions with their technical expertise and product knowledge.
Purpose
Likorall™ was developed in mid 90’s and the cover consist of two aluminum parts and two end covers in plastic. Shape, color, material and design have not changed over the years.
Goals
Identify user needs, functional- and design requirements to a new cover for Likorall™.
Design several concepts
Conduct concept evaluation
Present a CAD-model of the solution
Preferred to work in Solid Edge

Estimated Duration and compensation
30 hp starting by agreement.
An economic compensation will be handed out after the thesis is complete.
