Are you in the end of your studies in engineering physics, physics, medical physics or similar? RaySearch now offers a Master Thesis position within medical image analysis at our head office in central Stockholm, starting January 2021.
We offer the following Master Thesis job:
"Registration of anatomical landmarks in tubular structures"
One topic of increasing relevance in radiation treatment as well as more general radiology is to combine image information acquired using different image modalities and / or at different time points. In this project, you will investigate algorithms for registration of anatomical landmarks in tubular structures. For example, abdominal CT images of the same patient at different time points where it is of interest to study changes in the liver (due to treatment) at the accuracy of the vascular tree as that defines the different segments of the liver. The project will result in a prototype for how the deformable registration algorithms in our software can be improved and thereby help to improve patient specific treatments.
