Are you in the end of your studies in Computer Science/IT, Engineering Physics, Medical Technology or similar engineering program? RaySearch now offers a master thesis position within the Research Optimization team, starting January 2021.
We offer the following master thesis job:
"Scenario dose calculation for robust optimization"
Robust optimization is an essential tool for planning of proton treatments. However, it requires the calculation of multiple dose distributions, representing different realizations of uncertainties, in each iteration of the optimization. This makes the treatment planning very time-consuming. In this work, you will investigate new methods for approximate dose calculation. The work will include implementation of algorithms and comparative evaluation of the quality of dose calculation methods.
