This master thesis is a part of the work which strives to optimize a few recently designed alloys by Siemens Energy in the microstructural level, in order to acquire decent precipitation and grain boundary characteristics for desired mechanical properties. The work will mainly include various heat treatment trials, microstructural characterization, and simple mechanical testing if needed.

Master of Science in a relevant field and curiosity about working both theoretical and practical.
Master thesis student(s) who have a material science and engineering background. Working both individually and in collaboration with different groups of alloys. Interested in alloy development for sustainable power generation. Having knowledge and experience with commonly used material characterization techniques, especially scanning electron microscope, is preferable, but not limited.
