Background of thesis project
Rapid developments are ongoing within the areas of Vehicle Automation and Advance Driver Assistance systems (ADAS) driven by coming legislation. It will increase the number of sensors on the truck both in the front, side and rear of the truck

This development will challenge our production system that is based on Industrial flexibility
Mixed Model Assembly combined with an increased diversity in terms of product complexity puts strict needs on flexibility for the industrial system.
Current industrialization initiatives within Vehicle Automation are closing in on the limits of the capacity within today’s processes and equipment.
To capture the future needs and avoid sub-optimization




Description of thesis work
Investigation of how the calibration of the new sensors can be handled in our production system .
Market analysis of technologies for calibration of different sensor types
Process requirement analysis, how can a station be built for efficient calibration
Competitor analysis, what technologies are used today



Main location for the project group will be the assembly plant in Tuve Gothenburg.
To simplify communication with operators at least one group member must speak Swedish.


We require the thesis to be performed in a team of two students. Please state the name of your partner in the application.
