About the Master Thesis Program:


Nasdaq sits at the intersection between financial markets and the technology sector. During the spring semester of 2023 you will be part of the Master Thesis Program at Nasdaq, aimed primarily at students writing their thesis by themselves. We are looking for our future colleague and see this as an opportunity to introduce you to Nasdaq and our offices.


About the Team:


Nasdaq Financial Framework (NFF) is Nasdaq’s evolutionary harmonised approach to delivering robust end-to-end solutions to financial infrastructure providers in an open, agile environment.


Working in Trading means being at the core of NFF, empowering exchanges all around the world with state-of-the-art trading systems. In the Trading QA team, quality and resilience are in our DNA. We are spread across three continents, and we are continuously researching new technology within quality engineering such as chaos engineering, utilising cloud elasticity and scalability for performance testing and AI-based test automation to stay ahead of the curve.


Areas within Quality Engineering that we would like to explore further together with you:


Investigating how Nasdaq Trading can utilize Chaos engineering to test the robustness of our systems.


Investigating tooling around the automatic creation of unit tests and its applicability on our Trading systems.


Automatic test case generation using machine learning technology.


Build automated performance testing frameworks utilising scalability services in a dynamic AWS environment together with Nasdaq's existing tooling.


Own suggestions in the Quality Engineering domain by the student would also be welcome.


You will bring:


Studying last year Computer Science or Software Engineering
A love of programming
A love of quality
A strong inner drive and motivation, thriving in a fast-paced environment


It would be great if you have:


Relevant work experience alongside your studies

The program runs during the spring semester 2023, with a starting date in January. This opportunity is located in Stockholm or Umeå, Sweden. Renumeration: 1,000 SEK per university credit in accordance with state compensation requirements (Sw. studiemedelsberättigande högskolepoäng); with a maximum total of 30,000 SEK (Thesis = 30 university credits).
