Masteruppsats inom Miljö-, Social- och Styrningsplattformar

Group Sustainability, Excellence and Reliability are responsible to build sustainable processes as it relates to environmental, physical assets and best operational practices.
We are looking for a Thesis worker to identify & analyse the most important platforms and evaluate improvement needs on current ratings and suggested improvements.
Outokumpu is regularly being evaluated in various ESG ratings which give an indication as to how well Outokumpu is performing on Environmental, Social and Governance topics. These platforms are assessing companies based on publicly available data and are providing information about the needs to develop. The information provided by the platforms is also used by external stakeholders for assessing companies and therefore it is important that the information is as complete and correct as possible.

Accountabilities:
Analysing Outokumpu’s current ESG ratings
Benchmarking of ESG ratings
Develop the ratings through analysing the gaps
Thesis should outline the importance of ESG ratings and how well they are describing the ESG performance of the company and what affect does the rating have
Looking at specific ESG platforms and Outokumpu’s performance
Align the topic with an instructor from the University regarding the requirements of the thesis
Align with Sustainability, Compliance and other stakeholder teams on ratings where necessary


Qualifications:
University student who is looking for a Master’s Thesis in the field of Sustainability
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience with social studies, economic, environmental or technical background
Strong interest in Environment, Social and Governance matters and Corporate Social Responsibility
Experience in international/corporate environment desirable
Proficiency in written and spoken English, if possible also other languages
Good communication skills



As a Thesis worker you will have opportunity to work with Sustainability Experts in the Group wide Sustainability, Excellence & Reliability organization. Key linkages & interfaces will be Compliance Team, HR and EHSQ teams.
The position can be located in Finland, Germany or Sweden.
