The Materials Coordinator position is in the Nordic Regional Spare Parts Management (SPM) department who are responsible for the Regional spare parts stock, ensuring all material requirements for the operational wind farms are met. The material coordinator reports to the regional material manager but works closely together with many different departments mainly within Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Addition to this the work consists of managing stock levels to meet demands and monitoring material movements. This to ensure so that correct levels of stock are available at the service points, keeping the operational costs as efficient as possible. One key function the material coordinator has is to highlight shortages and potential critical situation to the regional service team, also solve problems as they occur.
The candidate we are searching for thrive in a coordinating role with a demand for structure, service and accuracy. Great communications skills and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders are key. The candidate we search for works well independent and in smaller groups. You have an ability to prioritize work tasks with a problem solving mind-set and like to communicate too many different stakeholders. Traveling within the region to our different service points and our central headquarter in Hamburg might occur.
Location for the material coordinator role is located in our office in Uppsala, Sweden. However we do offer the flexibility to work part-time from home when needed.
Key accountabilities
Order spare parts and maintenance material from our central warehouse in Germany.
Book and monitor outbound and inbound transports
Attend daily meetings with local service team within the region.
Key point of contact for material topics related to the region.
Monitoring and supporting of material bookings process.
Optimize stock levels.
Optimize procurement costs.
Ensure that spare parts are delivered to sites on time.
Escalate backlogs and critical situations related to material management.
Manage and optimize safety stocks within the region.
Support with materials identification.
Support after sales process requests.
Support with logistics and transport solutions.
Lead during yearly stocktaking's together with SPM-team.
Transfer spare parts between service points in SAP.
Career / Job experience
Experience as a Materials Coordinator/Planner or similar role is highly advantage, but not a requirement.
Experience with ERP (SAP) system is an advantage, but not a requirement.
University degree of Logistics, supply chain, finance or similar.
Education and qualification
Technical Knowledge (electrical or Mechanical) is an advantage.
Supply chain knowledge is an advantage.
Professional level in English, written and spoken.
Swedish or Finnish language is preferred but not mandatory.
Computer literate (MS Office)
