Material Engineer
As a Material Engineer at NKT, you will be working with properties and functionality of cable materials. You will provide material competence for the development of new solutions and designs, technical specifications for sourcing of raw materials for cables, support at investigations of material related problems for both the products but also within production.

Some of your responsibilities will be:
• Provide knowledge about materials related to processing within production
• Testing of new materials in production
• Testing and verification the functionality of the product
• Responsible for materials in new and existing designs
• Issuing technical specifications for sourcing of raw materials
• Material strategies
We are looking for a curious problem solver
The person we are looking for is an analytical team player with the mindset of always solve problems. You have the skills to lead projects and to collaborate with various stakeholders, such as production, quality, design, procurement, sales, product management and more. The tasks require the ability to perform laboratory analysis and technical approval of materials and suppliers. You are supportive and feel comfortable providing technical support when needed.
Your requirements:
• Relevant education such as materials engineer/polymer specialist on a university level, or experience equal
• Fluent in English and Swedish
• Laboratory experience
• Project management skills
