Description

Then the position as Senior Material Engineer at Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions could be your next job!
The position is located in the Base Material group within Supply Chain Operations. We strive to continuously adapt and improve our base material supply base in cooperation with our suppliers, converting factories and development organisations. Your part in this will be to become a recognized global expert for paperboard within Tetra Pak. You will interact with many highly professional global stakeholders - both internal and external.
Your base will be in Lund and you will travel around 50 days/year.
Main responsibilities
-Drive cost & quality improvement projects with suppliers
-Approve new board grades
-Technical validation and qualification of new suppliers
-Support converting factories with paperboard competence
-Monitor performance and drive corrective actions
-Translate system requirements to paperboard specifications
Qualifications
The person we are looking for is open and actively shares knowledge with others. Building relations comes easy to you and you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness. You are analytical and organised which makes it easy for you to create a structure and keep track on many parallel issues.
Your educational background is an MSc degree with focus on paper technology. You have at least 3 years of experience from the paper industry. It is a clear advantage if you have experience from food packaging board especially liquid packaging board production. Other relevant experience could be having worked as a development engineer or with technical sales support. You are a clear communicator and excel at both spoken and written English.
