Description
Do you want to take both your technology development and supplier management skills to the next level? Do you see yourself taking a global expert role for the entire Tetra Pak Group? Can you lead effectively across cultures, organisations and functions? Then the position as Material Engineer at Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions could be your next job!
The position is located in the Base Material group. We strive to continuously adapt and improve our base material supply base in cooperation with our suppliers, converting factories and development organisations. Your part in this will be to become a recognized project leader for Base Materials Paperboard in Tetra Pak. You will interact with many highly professional global stakeholders - both internal and external.
Your base will be in Lund and you will travel around 70 days/year.
Main responsibilities
-Drive cost & quality improvement projects with suppliers
-Translate system requirements to paperboard specifications
-Support converting factories and development organisations with paperboard competence
-Technical validation and qualification of new suppliers and new paperboard grades
-Monitor performance and drive corrective actions
Qualifications
The person we are looking for is open and actively shares knowledge with others. Building relations comes easy to you and you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness. You are analytical and organised which makes it easy for you to create a structure and keep track on many parallel issues.
Your educational background is a technical university degree and you have experience from the paper industry. It is a clear advantage if you have experience from food packaging board especially liquid packaging board production. Other relevant experience could be having worked as a development engineer or with technical sales support.
You are a clear communicator and excel at both spoken and written English.
