The Material Planner has the key role in creating the baseline for our performance, a balanced supply and demand. This mission is achieved by balancing and improving five metrics: customer on-time delivery, inventory, lead-time, forecast accuracy and resource optimization. Reporting to the Planning and Fulfillment Manager, you will set inventory parameters and inventory targets, while make sure that the adequate replenishment of inventory is ensured.
Your responsibilities
Segmenting the materials portfolio through ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy, and defining inventory policies
Calculating and maintaining inventory parameters in planning systems and ERP systems: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies
Working with buyers to get the best supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), quality, lead time, and flexibility
Working with operations buyers and our Global Business Services center to align planning of material with call offs and ensure that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders
Managing materials resource planning exception messages and assist in cycle counting and/or year-end inventory counting
Performing inventory sanity checks and conducting financial risk assessments relating to inventory, and root cause evaluation when necessary
Evaluating excess and obsolete/aging inventory, and taking appropriate action with others to optimize inventory performance
Your background
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Environment
Degree in logistics/supply chain/business management
Broad understanding and knowledge in end-to-end demand and supply chain
Robust experience in SAP/ECC and SAP/APO or similar ERP applications
Understanding of supply chain planning parameters, master data, and master data integrity & quality
Teamwork and collaborative focus. Experience on managing collaboration across global teams. Ability to function in a high volume setting with tight deadlines
Excellent communications and collaboration skills
Attention to details with strong focus on Lean processes and tools
Ability to identify root causes of errors and appropriate corrective actions
Fluent English and Swedish
