In the role of a Material Planner you will be reporting to Planning & Fulfillment Manager, you will be part of the operational purchasing as well as the production supervisor team and be responsible for material availability and stock planning for one or several product groups.
Your responsibilities
Purchase material for the production lines that you are responsible for.
Be daily in contact with our suppliers, monitor supplier performance identifying risk or shortages, on-time delivery, quality, lead time and implement relevant actions for improvements.
Work in close cooperation with production planners and production supervisors providing clear communication regarding material availability.
Conduct financial risk assessments relating to inventory, and root cause evaluation when necessary.
Evaluate excess and obsolete/aging inventory, and take appropriate action with others to optimize inventory performance.
Calculate and maintain inventory parameters in planning systems and ERP systems: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategy.
Your background
A Master or a Bachelor´s degree in science or relevant work experience.
Great ability to identify and solve problems in an appropriate and professional manner.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills.
Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken alike.
Good knowledge in Excel and preferably also in SAP.
