We offer you Everyday life as a Material sourcing manager is to search for innovation, sustainable solutions and coordinate the sourcing of fabric to meet the business goals. You will be responsible to lead and assure that goals and actions regarding material sourcing integrates in strategies and are aligned with sustainability and price targets. Guide and support colleagues across the organisation to ensure that sourcing process implements and follows up at Business Units.
Continuously monitor and evaluate sustainable solutions, innovation and trends related to material development. As a member of the Business Units Sustainability Team, collaborate with Assortment and Production teams, act with focus on Kappahl as a group. You are reporting to Sustainability Manager Business Units.
Your profile You have a technical academic degree in textile, fashion, sustainability, or another relevant field. Experience working with fabrics in similar role, experience from textile in an international supply chain extra merited. Good knowledge about design process, quality, material development and production processes. Understanding of fashion products effect on people and the environment, through a life cycle perspective. You have the ability to take lead and to manage change. You will need to be fluent in English.
Your personality You are powered by challenges and have a heart for development and problem solving, react quickly on changed demands, can easily adapt and come up with new ideas to meet new challenges.
Good communication skills. Be able to convey messages and information in a clear and enthused way. You have the ability to think strategically and act operationally. You thrive best in a developing environment where no day is the same.
