The position is located in the Base Material group in Lund, Sweden. We strive to continuously adapt and improve our base material supply base in collaboration with our suppliers, converting technology development, converting factories and package platforms. Your part in this will be to drive the paperboard material technology expertise, interacting with many highly professional stakeholders around the globe - both internal and external.

Main responsibilities
- Drive the development of the paper
physics area.
- Translate system requirements into
paperboard specifications.
- Support internal activities with paper
technology competence.
- Initiate and drive development activities internally, with our suppliers and with universities and institutes.


Qualifications

As a person you are open and actively share your knowledge with others. Building relations comes easy for you and you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness. You are analytical and organised which makes it easy for you to create a structure and keep track on many parallel issues. You are a clear communicator and excel in both spoken and written English.

You have a PhD in Paper physics and at least a few years experience from the paper industry, most of them within research and development. You have the ability to transfer theory into practical use and describe practical problems in theoretical terms. You have a solid contact network within the industry and with universities. Experience from food packaging board and especially liquid packaging applications is a clear advantage.
