National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS) builds on the Saab Automobile AB legacy of innovative power, quality, progressive design and a firm commitment to environmental and safety issues. Our aim is to be a front runner in the automotive industry, with focus on electric vehicles. Research, development and manufacturing is a match between Swedish know-how in manufacturing and design and Japanese advanced technology. Research and development is conducted as a collaborative effort between Swedish, Japanese, and Chinese engineers. The plant at Trollhättan is the main hub of National Electric Vehicle Sweden, including head office, research & development and manufacturing.

Description
Our Engineering department is now creating a strong foundation of skills and we are therefore looking for a Material technician Polymeric Materials to support our projects and organization with procurement skills. The work will cover the whole process, from early development of new materials in cooperation with suppliers to recommendation and construction support, analyses etc in production. You will assist in solving manufacturing problems and support with test methods related to different phases. You will be responsible for procuring external services. Competence and practical experience from materials engineering and validation is therefore a requirement. 

 The role will also include:

·         Cooperation and communication with suppliers

·         Monitoring environment within the area of expertise.

·         Contact and communication with different projects


Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has.

·         Relevant experience and technical skills in the work area, at least 10 years, preferably in the automotive industry.

·         Degree in Master of Science or equivalent experience.

·         Experience from product development and laboratory work is a requirement.

·         Drivers license (B).

·         Computer skills (office package).

You master English, both spoken and written.

·         Customer focused.

·         Flexible.

·         A strong communicator with information skills.

·         Focused on technical learning.

National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
