Material Test Engineer, Concept evaluation team

Kongsberg Automotive AB in Mullsjö is part of the Kongsberg Automotive group. The product development within Kongsberg Automotive is subject to global competition, with high demands on our performance. As a material test engineer you will be part of a creative team of approximately 20 test engineers working with mechanical, material and electronic testing. Our objective is to be in the global frontline of our product ranges. In our designs we use various materials such as polymers, adhesives and fabrics in combination with electronics and other materials. Having global customers and suppliers means a great portion of international contacts. You will be a part of a functional team that works with the full range from concept studies to product design and refinement of existing products. We are looking for applicants who -have a master or bachelor degree in chemistry or material design or have documented experience of material testing. -are experienced in working in projects, taking great personal responsibility. -in addition to a solid theoretical knowledge also show applied skills in material technology. -have the ability to work in a structured and independent way. -are committed to their tasks and have a good ability to collaborate. -possess good communicative skills in English, spoken and written. Experience of material testing, preferably from the automotive industry, is desired. Experience from adhesives and soldering processes or knowledge of polymer materials are also qualifying. Good knowledge of Swedish is preferred, and knowledge of other languages such as German, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean is also valued.
