Materials Engineer

The position is located in the Base Material group.We strive to continuously adapt and improve our base material supply base in corporation with our suppliers, converting factories and package platforms.Your part in this will be to become a recognized global expert for ink within Tetra Pak.You will interact with many highly professional global stakeholders - both internal and external.
Your main responsibilities will be to:

- Drive cost & quality improvement projects with printing ink suppliers
- Contribute with competence to support converting process improvement
- Translate system requirements to ink specifications.
- Qualify ink suppliers and grades.
- Monitor performance and drive corrective actions
- Maintain up-to-date specifications and compliance certificates

As a person you are open and actively share your knowledge with others.Building relations comes easy for you and you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness.You are analytical and organised which makes it easy for you to create a structure and keep track on many parallel issues.

Your technical background could be shaped in two ways.One option is that you have a BSc within Chemistry, Material Sciences or a related area combined with a couple of years experience from working with Ink and/or more than three years experience from working with printing.If you lack relevant professional experience you need to have university degree specialising within Printing and ideally good knowledge of Ink.You are a clear communicator and excel at both spoken and written English.
