​We are looking for a Materials Engineer – Data analyst to contribute to our materials strategy through the digital transformation in materials data management. If you share our passion for data and data-driven decision making, we would love to hear from you.
You will be part of our Advanced Materials team within the Group Technology Organization, with offices throughout the world.
Join us in developing and maintaining our group’s database for materials used in appliances to enable data retrieval to substantiate strategic decisions. In this role, you will collect, analyse, prepare reports/dashboards, as well as develop workflows/interfaces to further improve materials data management.
You will play a key role in projects in the area of sustainable materials, materials standardization and modularization.
As an integral member of the Group Technology Organization, you will provide technical expertise in IT tools for data analysis applied to materials in an international, multi-competence and cross-product line environment.
A typical week at work:
•Develop dedicated tools and dashboards to support analysis of materials data and visualize the progress of KPIs.
•Collect, analyse and structure available material information from literature, technical information, standards and drawing information, from both internal and external sources.
•Support the team with the implementation of digital tools for tracking materials laboratory data and structuring validation reports storage
•Collaborate with IT colleagues in e.g. data management and systems interfaces.
•Prepare and provide communication material to cross-functional and executive teams on a regular basis
•Work in close collaboration with other Group Technology Organization teams and Electrolux functions.
Qualifications:
•Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Materials/Chemical Engineering or similar degree.
•Solid knowledge of data analysis and statistics: databases management systems, PLM tools, data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI), Office IT
•Fluent in English, written and spoken.
•1-3 years track record/hands-on experience in at least one of the following fields is desirable: material science and technology, data management, bill of materials management.
•Experience in R&D, IT, Industrial Operations in an international organization /company is also beneficial.
•Analytical, critical and logical skills as well as precision are key elements for this position.
•Structured and self-organized way of working.
•Ability to collaborate effectively in a complex, international matrix organization.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
