MBS Calculation Engineer within Vehicle Dynamics & Chassis Design

RTCC consists of two calculation teams at the forefront of the Traton simulation community; one FEM team and one MBS team. Our areas of responsibility cover a large part of our vehicles, focusing on the strength of the truck chassis and the vehicle's dynamic properties. We are deeply involved in developing our electrified vehicles with close collaboration with design and testing both within Scania and Traton. Our strong culture always strives to improve our ways of modeling, analyzing, and working processes to stay at the forefront. Automation of repetitive steps is essential to improve efficiency and capability.

RTCC is a very experienced and stable group and we are enjoying both our collaborative environment at the office and fun activities outside the office.

Your Tasks
You will work with a wide variety of assignments, for example;


• Simulations in the concept development phase to evaluate properties and find the best conceptual solution
• Asses hotspot on complete vehicle from simulation over test track obstacles
• Investigations in the product follow-up phase to assess failure modes etc. and find solutions to a failure in customer operation, often in collaboration with testing
• Model improvements of both small and large scale
• Method development with scripting in for example Python

The software used for MBS simulations is mainly Adams/Car.

Your profile



• You have a Master of science or higher education in the area of Vehicle Engineering, Dynamics, or similar.
• You are fluent in English, both in writing and verbal.
• You master the software mentioned above, which is meritorious if you have programming skills.
