HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
We are now hiring a Mechanical Completion Specialist to HVDC Sweden, a business line within Hitachi Energy. As Mechanical Completion (MC) Specialist you are responsible for interpreting, supporting and guiding the projects in MC requirements based on customer’s specifications. You will have a central role, working both operational and strategic, as well as interacting with different stakeholders in the business.

Your responsibilities
Provide leadership, guidance and support in the projects to ensure adherence to mechanical completion requirements based on the customer’s contract
Lead, develop and sustain the MC processes within the organization by providing guidance and support to the projects and organization
Create and identify an MC strategy for HVDC and align with stakeholders
Integrate existing processes and improve to align with mechanical completion requirements
Identify the MC activities for the project and coordinate and manage the activities towards the time schedule and different contractual milestones
Create a structure based on our inspection test plans (ITP’s) in the project completion system (PCS) for the upcoming work, based on the contract and input from different departments
Review, train and provide tool clarification on the PCS to the organization and clarify interfaces
Set up business model for MC resource and need based on project type (EP, EPC)
Monitor the execution phase by analyzing and creating status reports and punch lists
Your background
Experience from working in a similar role, preferably within an EPC business
Offshore experience and familiar with NORSOK standards
Knowledge and experience of working with Project Completion Systems (PCS) such as PIMs and ProCosys
Strong technical writing- and reporting skills
Strong personality with the ability to influence others, coordinate work tasks and communicate clearly to stakeholders
You hold a bachelor or master’s in Engineering, Quality Management or similar
Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken
