Mechanical Design Engineer

To Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions and our division Stationary Crushing and Screening, we’re looking for a tech-interested and eager Mechanical Design Engineer to join us in a position that offers the freedom and responsibility needed to create innovation.
This role offers you the opportunity to grow and develop as a design engineer within Sandvik and is a great opportunity to sharpen your knowledge in different areas such as casting, manufactured details, welding and hydraulics!

Your mission – staying ahead of the game
In this position, you take on overall responsibility for an assigned crusher sub-system. Being involved in the whole process – from initial idea to finalized product – means varied and flexible working days. This allows you to truly specialize yourself within the area, while having the freedom to plan your work independently. Aiming to always set industry standards, you’re genuinely interested in news and trends within the area, which you utilize to suggest future development opportunities and drive technological development.
This position is based in Svedala, and some international travel to our customers is a natural part of your job.

Your character – motivated and open-minded
We’re looking for someone with a degree within a relevant area, or the equivalent experience gained from working, and a few years of experience in a similar role - preferably within the heavy industry segment. Having experience in using programs such as SolidWorks, Teamcenter, and AutoCAD is a plus. As we work in an international setting, you have great skills in English, both verbally and in writing, while skills in Swedish are an advantage.
