Mechanical design engineer

We’re looking for a passionate Product Responsible Engineered System (PRES) to secure our Disc stack centrifuge (HSS) modules are easy to sell and deliver outstanding process performance for a wide range of process industry applications.
So, what are you going to do today?

The Global Sales group in Business Unit Energy Separation is responsible for the sale of high-speed separator (HSS) systems to the Energy sector. We are focusing on customized solutions where the core component (HSS) is either offered as standalone units or integrated in complete systems.

Who you are

About the job
The key responsibilities for our additional PRES resource are to develop and maintain robust modules to our range of disc stack centrifuges. Although our offerings typically are customized, we almost always start our sales process based on standardized systems. This helps our customers in their buying journey and provide speed in our bidding process. You will do this by ensuring world class mechanical engineering when we develop new modules, as well as making sure existing systems are upgraded as needed. We strive to ensure performance for customers and efficiency in our supply chain. You will Interact closely with our PRES for controls, our engineering sites and supply organizations as well as suppliers. You drive our module documentation all the way into our sales systems, and will also deliver training/learning activities for employees, business partners and end-user customer to secure knowledge and inspire effective work.

The position will be based in Tumba and will require around 20-30 travel days per year.

Who are you?
We are looking for a Mechanical design engineer with solid process design skills and experience. You are quick to think of sustainability driven improvements and work with a structure and a can-do-drive. You have a technical Master or Bachelor degree in engineering, such as mechanical/chemical or other. Experience from the industry, product or similar products is an advantage but not a strict requirement. You are good in communicating as a big part of the work will involve interfacing with various Alfa Laval functions globally, as well as international customers from different countries and cultures.
