Our Exciting Opportunity
We are now looking for a Mechanical Design engineer for the Product Test Development (PTD) department in Kumla, Sweden. Your role will include all development activities such as requirement analysis, system design, hardware design, HW/SW integration, HW verification, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We are organized in cross-functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.
You will
• Drive strategic technical leadership
• Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling
• Develop and test high-quality products
• Perform troubleshooting and customer support
• Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
• Develop competence in technical domain
• Perform Root Cause analysis during design, verification and implementation
• Report to the Product Test HW Manager
To be successful in the role you must have
• Education: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering or similar
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Domain experience: Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, regulatory requirements as Machine Directive (MD) Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and RoHS
• Good knowledge and experience in construction material, manufacturing processes, surface treatments, documentation, etc.
• Good knowledge in mechanical development environments as Creo Parametric and Windchill PDM Link system
• Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge
• Business understanding
• Ability to work with people and networking skills
• Ability to innovate, adapt and respond to change
• Basic knowledge of EMC/EMI from a mechanical point of view
• Planning and organizing skills
