Job Description
We are looking for a new Mechanical Design Engineering to our team at CEDO. For us you will be one of the important cogs in the technical team, working with product development and product improvement of the running range. You are going to develop the mechanical design of products in the field of different materials and functions, from concept sketch to final product. You will develop and maintain the digital models on a detail level, as well as securing that all mechanical requirements (legal as functional) are covered by the product design. By working with several teams and stakeholders, as well as being active in user forums, you will establish a network within IKEA of Sweden. You will take a stand in important matters, but you will be also willing to challenge known patterns.


Furthermore you will:
· Be the main contact with IKEA of Sweden prototype department
· Evaluate construction with FEM analysis before testing on prototypes
· Finalize and maintain drawings with all relevant dimensions and tolerances


And of course it will be a lot of fun!


Qualifications
You have good experience in product development, handling different kind of materials and production methods. Your competence in 3D CAD engineering is very good, and you have a good understanding of FEM analysis and basic structural dimensioning. Knowledge of SolidWorks and an experience working with plastic and metal will be considered as an added advantage. As a person you have a genuine and practical technical interest, who knows how to make things happen. Furthermore you have strong communication skills and the ability to create good relations build on trust. IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and you therefore need to be fluent in English both verbal and in written.
