Engineering & Operations Excellence (EnOx) department is looking for a Mechanical design engineer with a genuine interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing, automation and mechanical design. In this role, you will be working in an experienced international team supporting Fresenius Kabi manufacturing sites with state-of-the-art engineering solutions.

EnOx department is responsible for project management and technical projects, serving the Business Unit Parenteral Nutrition, Keto-Analogues and Standard I.V. Fluids. The business unit operates manufacturing plants mainly in Europe and Asia. You will be working in the Pre-Engineering team, based in Uppsala.

 


Main accountabilities


In a typical workday you will:

-       Interact with the customers to understand their needs and pain points

-       Creatively craft solutions together with experienced professionals and external partners

-       Be challenged to push the boundaries of technology and project executions

-       Communicate with people in several different countries

-       Learn something new  

 

You will mainly work with the early phases of projects with the focus on conceptual design and pre-engineering. Here it is important to have the ability to define the key challenges and define possible solutions. A broad understanding of operations in pharmaceutical manufacturing is essential to achieve improvements in quality, work environment, energy efficiency and output.  

Digitalization has greatly improved the ability to work in multi-national teams without leaving the office or even home. Some travel will be required based on project needs.      


About you

Master’s in engineering
10+ years of mechanical 3D design and machine building
Preferably several years of experience within the pharma industry
Ability to create an environment of trust  
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Strong commitment to the task and the ability to work in teams
Excellent analytical, creativity, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to communicate and interact with other professionals effectively

The position is initially a temporary employment with a view to become permanent employment if both parts agree after 6 months.
