The Husqvarna R&D organization work with efficient development of both products and people. We have a varied environment with a material lab, verification lab, prototype workshop, CAE department, and much more. All to create a workplace where it’s just as important to build a product as it is to build knowledge and experience.
The Team
The Residential Mechanics Development Team are tasked to develop mechanical parts for the next generation of robotic lawn mowers. At the same time we are responsible for the life time management of the products that are already released. This means that we not only work with development, but also with the continuous improvement of our products – all to maintain our market leading position.

Work tasks
· Develop mechanical parts in CAD
· Provide the technical foundation to get the parts ready for production
· Join pre-studies and concept reviews
· Ensure that the set requirements are being implemented in the product
· Together with the production team, ensure that the design works from a DFA & DFAA perspective
Requirements
· Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, with a mechanical design focus
· Experience in product design of plastic parts
· Experience in CAD, preferably Catia V5
· Can handle work meetings and documentation in English
· Preferably experience of PDM systems, like Smarteam
